FINDING YOUR FOREVER.

As binary creatures, it seems that it's only inevitable for us deal with our fair share of relations; relapses; shortcomings, but what makes us so special is how we rebound from them. Surprisingly, many of us are unsure on how to bounce back from such things, when the answers lie before us.. almost as clear as day.

Resilience. That one word is key; it is the reason why one foot moves before the other. It's the reason that life, for us, hasn't seized to end just yet. Also, acknowledging that resilience is what helps to empower it. With that being said, do me a quick favor.. tie up those loose ends and let's keep the good times rolling! We've finally made it to a new year and I don't want to be the one to tell you that focusing on that malnourished "love", that isn't gonna get you anywhere, is what your 2017 should consist of. Sitting up until the ass crack of dawn, waiting for a text message that's being sent in rotation to a flock of individuals with the same kind of heart as you (minus the THOTs) is simply not love, my darling. That's LUST. Ew. We don't do that over here. Dead that. FINITO.

I say all of that, to say this: let your hustle be the deciding factor of your happiness and how you choose to live in life, and not live through the influence of others. I, too, was a victim to these mind games in the last year; it wasn't until I had to break the habit to really understand what I was doing to myself. It wasn't a good feeling. I had come to the biggest epiphany, in the midst of me making myself believe that I needed someone; you give someone even just a glimmer of hope, and they'll completely take it and you for granted. People love and live for the attention so, as long as you shower them with it, who are they to tell you to quit? Here I was believing that I was in the beginning stages of building something that would last, just to end up getting did dirt. Not worth it. Sooo not worth it.

I made a vow to follow my own advice, and to allow love however long it needs to craft that perfect spirit for me. When the time comes, it'll grab my hand and it'll never let it go. You all are no different. Here comes the importance of "finding your forever". It's very seldom for some of us to give chances or for some of us to even know how, but it's imperative for the sake of progression. Now, don't get me wrong.. the trying time I mentioned, above, was probably one of the most challenging I'd ever experienced.. but I chalked it up as just that — experience. With that comes maturity and accepting the many things that aren't interchangeable, while delving deep into working on the things that are; so before you go to delete his/her number, shoot them a text. Let them know that you forgive them. Thank them for the tears and the stress. Let them know that it was those things that have helped to mold you into the force of which you are, today. You'd be totally shocked at how far that goes.. in some cases, that might just be the enlightenment they needed to help them become a better soul.

Nothing is more liberating than knowing that the energy you put out into the universe has come back to you, ten fold. The power in forgiving also holds the power in living a life, fulfilled; as long as you never lose sight of that, then you haven't forgotten about what truly matters.
